HIGH HOPES CHALLENGE #29!!!!

This is my entry for this weeks challenge "emboss".

For this card i embossed the anchor in the top left corner, the black pirates map in the bottom left corner, as well as the gold map behind the pirate. On the inside i embossed the gold anchor and some gold in the treasure chest.

This is also the 1st card i decorated the inside!! i really like how it turned out. Ive seen it down in others cards and liked how it looked. so this week i gave it a try. Thanks for looking, and Thanks for the comments!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

ok so her birthday was actually on May 1st. ive been super crazy busy at work lately, so im just a day late getting around to doing this.

12 years ago, i remember saving all my money and the decision of getting a cat was pretty new. my mom had agreed into letting me get a kitty. we went to the petstore to "just" get cat supplies and saw a cute little calico kitten by the front window. and well.....we got her.

as we walked around getting the supplies i was in charge of holding the new kitten. she was so bad. she did that "grab ahold with the front paws and kick with the back". i didnt no about this cat. we got her anyways. that night she slept right next to me and purred the entire night. i didnt sleep AT ALL. i was either scared id roll over on her or wake her if i moved. to this day she still sleeps right next to me, and i cant sleep without her there. she likes people but may bite or hit. (thats right, shes a hitter). she also follows me EVERYWHERE around the house. she goes to bed when i go to bed and gets up when i do. i lubs her!!!

High Hopes Challenge #28
here is my entry for this weeks challenge. "think outside the card". i decided to make a bookmark. i wanted to make something that i would use everyday. ive turned into somewhat of a bookworm this year. i have also just recently broke my bookmark i was using. since i love the ocean and all its creatures, i took out my sealife high hopes stamps and came up with this bookmark.

images were colored with prismas and gamsol. i then went over them with SU markers to deepen the shading.

i dont have a laminator so i took out the packing tape. lol. worked just fine!

ok, so im getting a really early start on my xmas cards this year. i colored this Charity Winter Angel awhile ago and finally got the chance to make her into a card.
the designer paper, is last winter mini cateloge SU dp. i absolutly love this paper!!
the angel was colored with prismas and gamsol. i added hints of stickles as well.
the ribbon i purchased at michaels last xmas.

High Hopes Challenge #26
heres my entry for this weeks high hopes challenge #27, "distress it". this week we were to distress our cards.
i took a chocolate ink and brushed it over all the cardstock and dp. then took a musturd color ink and went over the paper again.
the images were colored with prismas, and gamsol. the images and sentiment are high hopes stamps.
the star was punched with the small star SU punch.

here is my entry for this weeks high hopes challenge #26. "Pierce It". i must say i dont really like to do paper piercing, but i really got into this challenge. I LIKED IT!!! for piercing, i pierced the scalloped corners, and the center strip. for the center strip i pierced and then hand sewn with DMC floss. im really liking the look. (it was also my first time sewing a card). i have a machine but im hesitant on sewing paper with it, and my little kitchen table/card making area, doesnt leave me alot of room if i bring it out. im thinking, next time im bringing it out!!!

for the scalloped circles, i seen a tutorial awhile back on how to make them, im sorry i cant remember the name of the card maker. soo credit goes to her. they were super easy to make.
the images were colored with prismas and gamsol. i also added hints of stickles for highlights. i love stickles!!! stickles were also used around some on the edges of paper.
